CATEGORIES OF ADMISSION
Applicants may be admitted to one of the following:
Regular Admission
To be evaluated through the Office of the University Registrar
Applicants must have completed one of the following from a recognized institution:
A four-year Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Psychology.
OR
A four-year Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with completion of six credits of university-level Psychology courses equivalent to MacEwan University’s PSYC 104 and PSYC 105 with a minimum grade of C+.
ADDITIONAL ADMISSION CRITERIA
All applicants must meet the following:
1. English Language Proficiency

All applicants must meet an acceptable level of English language proficiency. We will require official documents such as high school or post-secondary transcripts or proof of successful completion of standardized language evaluation. In addition to the regular admission requirements, applicants are required to submit the following to be assessed by faculty from the Post Baccalaureate Certificate in Behaviour Analysis program:
1. A resume outlining academic or employment experience relevant to the program,
2. Two letters of reference - one reference from volunteer or work experience, and one academic reference (preferred) or a general reference if it is not possible to provide an academic reference
3. A letter of intent
The letter of intent (500 words maximum) will discuss the following:
Relevant coursework taken to prepare for continued academic study into the science of behaviour analysis and the practice of behaviour analysis
• Relevant work and/or volunteer experience that may have prepared the applicant for the skills expected from an individual going into a helping profession that supports the behaviour change of another person.
• Experiences the applicant is hoping to gain while completing two supervised fieldwork courses
• Short-term and/or long-term career plans and expectations of how the Post- Baccalaureate Certificate in Behaviour Analysis will further career goals
Applicants offered admission will be required to submit a clear Police Information Check (or equivalent from another policing agency) that includes a Vulnerable Sector Search. The Police Information Check must be obtained before the program’s field placement courses.
This program is eligible for full-time post-secondary assistance by Alberta Student Aid for the funding year 2025/08/01 to 2026/07/31*.
